Preparing for Anzac Day: A Renewed Commitment from MI Care

As Anzac Day approaches, MI Care is stepping forward with a renewed sense of purpose, connection, and respect. This year marks an important moment for our organisation — the restoration of MI Care’s formal involvement in the Arcadia Dawn Service, including the honour of laying the wreath on behalf of our members and community.

For many years, MI Care played a quiet but meaningful role in this ceremony. As our organisation evolves, we’re proud to reaffirm that commitment and stand alongside the groups, families, and individuals who gather each year to remember those who served.

This return isn’t just symbolic. It reflects the culture we’re rebuilding — one grounded in service, clarity, and genuine community presence. Our volunteers, members, and neighbours have all contributed to this renewed energy, and Anzac Day offers a moment to honour that shared spirit.

In the coming weeks, we’ll share updates on preparations, including how members can participate, support, or simply join us on the morning. Whether you attend the Dawn Service every year or are considering coming for the first time, you’ll be warmly welcomed.

Anzac Day reminds us that community is built through acts of remembrance, gratitude, and care. MI Care is proud to stand with Magnetic Island once again.

Stay tuned for our next post — a look at the evolving Tuesday Club on a Friday, and how it’s growing into a vibrant Social Club shaped by creativity, laughter, and member-led ideas.
